Lomond Bull Terriers is based on Vancouver Island in beautiful British Columbia, Canada. We are happy to accept applications from potential homes across Canada, and you would need to travel to us to pick up your puppy (we do not ship puppies).
At this time, due to a total ban by the CDC on the import of dogs under 6 months into the USA, we are not able to supply puppies to homes in the USA. We will re-examine this policy if the restrictions are lifted.
Our goal is to raise healthy, confident, adaptable bull terrier puppies that families will fall in love with. That begins before they are even conceived, with breed-appropriate health testing of the parent dogs. Before a potential dam or sire is used for breeding, we make sure they have had genetic screening for Lethal Acrodermatitis (LAD) and Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD), and have also had an Echocardiogram to check for Mitral Valve Dysplasia. We are looking for parents who are structurally sound, adhere to the breed standard, and, most importantly, have a great temperament.
Once they are born, puppies are raised with much love in our home, using responsible practices and Puppy Culture protocols. We have a very limited number of litters, which means we can give our full attention to each litter of puppies while they are with us.
Puppy Culture is a socialization and training program (for all breeds but developed by a bull terrier breeder) specifically designed for puppies from birth to 12 weeks.
The first 12 weeks of a puppy’s life are a crucial stage of development where their temperament and ability to adapt to new experiences is being shaped all the time. Using Puppy Culture, we introduce puppies to age-appropriate experiences and exercises that help build confidence, resilience, and ease their transition into new homes. This includes things like sound desensitization, novel environments and surfaces, crate conditioning, trips in the car, startle recovery, and finding opportunities for positive interactions.
Finding the right homes for our puppies is very important to us. Here’s a rundown of our process:
Ongoing moral support is for the lifetime of your dog.
Our support for your puppy, and for you, does not stop once your puppy gets home with you. We care deeply about bull terriers, and about every puppy we breed. They aren’t the easiest breed to raise, and we are here for you with advice, training ideas and emotional support. Our goal is to build meaningful relationships with everyone who has a Lomond Bull Terrier Puppy.
More importantly, you should know that if anything goes wrong and you are no longer able to take care of your puppy, that puppy will return to us. We have made a commitment to that dog for its lifetime, which means that there is NEVER a reason for a Lomond Bull Terrier puppy to end up in a shelter or an unsafe situation.
