Our dogs, Bonnie and Fife, may be show dogs, but they are primarily our family members. Most often they can be found playing (and getting dirty) in the yard, cuddling on the couch or by the fire. We are immensely proud of their achievements in the show ring, but most of our enjoyment of them comes from the every-day love, companionship and connection we have with them.
Bonnie the blonde bombshell came to us in January 2022 from the wonderful Delicious Bull Terriers.
Pending health testing, Bonnie will be our foundation bitch, with puppies from Bonnie planned for 2024. If you are interested in a puppy, please fill in our Puppy Inquiry Form to register your potential interest with us.
She is quite the character: smart as a whip, full of sass but oh-so-sweet. She loves to make new friends while out and about, of the human and the dog variety. She learned during her first summer on Vancouver Island that although she hates baths, she loves wading at the beach.
In the conformation ring she oozes joy and confidence (she LOVES performing for the judges and the crowd). Always proudly owner-handled, she earned her Canadian Championship at just 8 months old, her Grand Championship in July 2023, and her Grand Champion Bronze in October 2023. She ended 2023 as the #2 Bull Terrier in Canada for Conformation.
At home she especially loves to play with a ball, and has invented a few games including Bull Terrier Bowl Hockey and a version of soccer (where she kicks the ball with her feet while carrying some type of vegetation in her mouth).
Fife arrived with us in March of 2021 from the amazing Rozehaven Bull Terriers. We were fortunate enough to meet him more than once before he came home with us, and watch him develop from a tiny tot to a confident puppy.
Since then he has gone from strength to strength (literally – he is very strong!!) Along with handsome features, a coat that practically sparkles in sunshine, and a muscular frame, he has a wonderful temperament. He has yet to meet another dog he doesn’t like, and is the life and soul of the party. He is also ridiculously photogenic, and a grand champion cuddle buddy.
His first forays into the conformation ring were chaotic (not unusual for bull terriers !) – it was VERY exciting for him to be around so many other dogs and people all at once – but he did get good at it! You could say he even finds it quite boring these days. We have been so proud of his achievements. He earned his championship in June of 2022, followed closely by his Grand Championship in August 2022. He has earned several group placements as well as a Best In Specialty Show win.
